6 strips of bacon
2 tbsp butter
3 garlic cloves, smashed
1 cup frozen peas
Family size Olivieri Classic Skillet Gnocchi
½ cup whipping cream
Zest from one lemon
Salt and pepper to taste
OPTIONAL: parmesan for serving
1. In a large pan fry the bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and set aside on a plate. Remove fat from pan, reserving 1 tbsp.
2. Add the butter and melt in pan over medium low heat. Stir in the garlic and peas. Sauté until pea’s defrost, about 3 minutes. Now add the gnocchi and continue to sauté together, about 5 minutes or until gnocchi are warmed through and starting to get some browning. Be sure to stir often to avoid any sticking or burning. Pour in the cream and add the lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer together for about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.
3. Chop the bacon then combine it with the gnocchi. Serve with parmesan if desired.
